Edicine, in collaboration with the V.P. Filatov International Foundation for Biomedical Technology Development (Russia), announces the launch of the Young Medicine Competition – 2026 Grand Final Round.

Part of the Decade of Science and Technology program established by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, this premier biomedical contest expands internationally for the first time.

Core Focus: Identifying innovative, high-impact biomedical research.

Who Can Participate (Eligibility)?

Open to young researchers aged <35 Years (<40 years for PhD holders) across the entire biomedical spectrum (medical, allied & biotechnology):

Students: Undergraduates & postgraduates.
Doctors: General practitioners & residents.
Innovators: Healthcare startup participants and leaders.

Registration and participation are completely free.

Competition Phases

Online Application & Project Submission: September 15 – October 25, 2026
Expert Evaluation & Finalist Selection (Top 20): November 2026 (Top 20 finalists will be selected by an international expert panel).
Live Grand Final Round (Moscow): December 2–9, 2026 (The Top 20 finalists will present face-to-face before leading scientists).
Awards Ceremony: December 8, 2026, held alongside the VI International Scientific and Educational Forum "YOUNG MEDICINE".

Awards & Full Sponsorship

All-Expenses-Paid Trip to Moscow: The top 20 participants chosen through the expert evaluation during November 2026, receive full sponsorship (Transport, accommodation & food) to compete in the face-to-face round in Moscow.
